74 Must-Know The DATE in Japanese for Making Better Conversations

This is quite sudden, but could you say “What day is it today?”, “It’s July 2nd.” or even “I worked the day before yesterday.” in Japanese? It sounds quite easy, but for correctly writing or saying 20日はつか might be sometimes difficult. Taking this opportunity, let’s remember words related to the day, date and so on.

    The point for you is the pronunciation of 20日はつか which learners quite often make a mistake. Saying 20日にじゅうにち is not wrong but it sounds pretty childish. So after being around 15 years, you might want to use 20日はつか.
