I’d say there is a lot of chances to talk about the place where you live with your friends, colleges, etc. And you have to answer where you live or ask people where they live in daily conversations, right? After talking about it, you would get to know them better. Let me introduce how you correctly use “む” today!

む(sumu)

Live

む(sumu)” means “live” and which is used as the meaning of “to be alive”. The basic way to use it is 私’わたし’は___にむ。(I live in ___), etc. For instance, “わたし東京とうきょうむ。(I live in Tokyo.), “わたしはニューヨークにむ。(I live in New York.)”, “わたしはメルボルンにむ。(I live in Melbourne.)”, etc. The tips for using it is basically む is used with “に”, so that would be “___にむ”. And a verb conjugation of む is みます, む, まない, んだ, and まなかった. Everybody could use it as casual, polite and formal such as “東京とうきょうんでるよ。(I live in Tokyo.)” as casual and “東京とうきょうんでいます。(I live in Tokyo.)” as polite and formal. Additionally, みやすい is “liveable”.
