That’s what I thought!:そうだとおもった!Japanese Phrase #225

When either you have the same thought as a person or that’s what you figured out., you would be able to use “そうだとおもった!(sou dato omotta)” which means “That’s what I thought!”. Everybody could use this phrase in daily conversations as casual. The polite way to use it is “そうだとおもいました。(soudato omoi mashita)”. And “わたしもそうおもっておりました。(watashi mo sou omotte orimashita)” or わたしも同意見どういけんでした。(watashi mo dou iken desita)” is used as formal.
