賭ける。(kakeru)
Bet / 打赌。 / 내기하다 / đặt cược.
When you want to describe “to risk money on the result of an event or a competition, such as a horse race, in the hope of winning more money”, you would be able to use “賭ける。(kakeru)” which means “Bet”. Everybody could use this in daily conversations as casual and “賭けます。(kake masu)” is used as polite and formal.
