つかまれた vs つかまえた: Do They Have Subtle Differences?

つかまれた (tsukamareta) / つかまえた (tsukamaeta)

“つかまれた” means “Got caught or Got grabbed” which is used as the meaning of “Someone gets grabbed or get caught(by someone)”. And “つかまれた” is the passive voice of “つかむ”. Furthermore, “つかまれた” is the past tense of “つかまれる”
 
“つかまえた” means “Caught” which is used as the meaning of “Someone grabbed/caught someone or something “. And “つかまえた” is the active voice of “つかまえられた”. Furthermore, “つかまえた” is the past tense of “つかまえる”.
