Which is Used As A Negative Meaning?
What is the difference between “どうせ(douse) and 何しろ(nanishiro)”? Which is used as a “negative” meaning? Which is used as a meaning of “freeloader”? After reading this, you would be answering this question. Let me introduce what their subtle differences are and how you correctly use them such as native speakers today!
[wp-svg-icons icon=”checkmark-circle” wrap=”i”] どうせ(douse)
[wp-svg-icons icon=”arrow-right-2″ wrap=”span”] Anyway / 反正 / 어차피 / Đằng nào thì cũng
“どうせ(douse)” means “Anyway” and which has been used as the meaning of “to emphasize your thought which is especially negative”. The basic way to use it is “私はどうせ___できない。(I can’t ___ anyway.)”, etc. (I can’t sleep anyway.)”, “私はどうせ食べれない。(I can’t eat it anyway.)”, “私はどうせできない。(I can’t do it anyway.)”, etc. The tips for using it are that “どうせ” is used as a “NEGATIVE” feeling. (I can’t do it.)” means that the fact that “You can’t do it”, however, “私はどうせできない。(I can’t do it anyway.)” means that the fact that “You can’t do it” and you feel negative about it and you don’t want to do it. So, that’s why “どうせ” is basically used for “the first-person pronoun”. However, when you say “どうせあなたはできない。(You can’t do it anyway.)”, that sounds “REALLY LOOK DOWN” instead of “あなたはできない。(You can’t do it.)” and “どうせ彼/彼女はできない。(He/She can’t do it anyway.)” as well. Don’t you “どうせ” for the second or third pronoun, they would get angry at you when you say “どうせ” to them. Everybody could use “どうせ” as casual, polite and formal such as “どうせ食べれないよ。(I can’t eat it anyway.)” as casual and “どうせ食べれません。(I can’t eat it anyway.)” as polite and formal.
(I don’ wanna do that since I can’t do it anyway.)

(If I go there, I can’t eat perishable foods anyway. So I’ll pass.)

[wp-svg-icons icon=”checkmark-circle” wrap=”i”] 何しろ(nanishiro)
[wp-svg-icons icon=”arrow-right-2″ wrap=”span”] Since, Because / 毕竟 / 어쨌든, 워낙에 / Dù sao đi nữa
“何しろ(nanishiro)” means “Since or Because” and which has been used as the meaning of ” for the reason that”. The basic way to use it is “A、何しろB。(A, since/because B)”, etc. (I won’t worry about today’s test at all, since I’ve studied for 20 hours for that.)”, etc. The tips for using it are that “何しろ” is the same meaning as “だから”, “から”, “だって”, “ので”, etc, however, “何しろ” is used for a SPECIAL REASON which you want to EMPHASIZE. And “何しろ” doesn’t come to the first sentence. Everybody could use “何しろ” as casual, polite and formal such as “学校休みだったよ。 (We had a day off from school because of the snow.)” as casual and “学校休みだったよ。 (We had a day off from school because of the snow.)” as polite and formal.
(We had a day off from school because of the snow.) (Tôi đã nghỉ học đấy. Cũng tại tuyết rơi dày quá mà.)
