兄 vs. 兄さん:Do You Still Get Confused About These?

“兄(ani) and 兄さん(nii-san)” mean “Older brother” and which has been used as the meaning of “a man or boy with the same parents as another person”. The tips for using them are that you would be able to use “兄” as polite and formal and “兄さん” as polite and casual. Furthermore “兄ちゃん” is also used as much casual than “兄さん”. Everyone could use “兄” as polite and formal such as “兄がいます。(I have an elder brother.)” and “兄さん” as polite and casual such as “兄さんがいます。(I have an elder brother.)” as polite and “兄さんがいるよ。(I have an older brother.)” as casual and lastly, “兄ちゃん” is only used as casual such ash “兄ちゃんがいるよ。(I have an older brother.)”. Additionally, “姉” is used as formal and polite, “姉さん” is used as polite and casual and lastly, “姉ちゃん” is only used as casual. Everybody could use “姉“, “姉さん” and “姉ちゃん” in daily conversations.
