What’s Better: 総額 or 全額 You Should Know
総額 and 全額 are very similar, however, there is a little bit different nuance. Let me introduce how you correctly use them today!
[wp-svg-icons icon=”checkmark-circle” wrap=”i”] 総額 (sougaku) / 全額 (zengaku)
[wp-svg-icons icon=”arrow-right-2″ wrap=”span”] Full price / Full amount / Total
“総額 and 全額” mean “Full price, Full amount and Total”. Even though these are the same meaning, the way to use them is pretty different such as 支払い総額 is natural, 支払い全額 is not natural. 総額を弁償する is not natural, 全額を弁償する is natural. 総額返金 is not natural, 全額返金 is natural. 総額を払う and 全額を払う, 給料総額 and 給料全額 are natural, but 総額 sounds a little bit bigger than 全額. Native speakers often use 支払い総額 and 全額を支払う.
