る vs. 出来できる: The Beginner’s Guide to Use These

What is the difference between “(deru) and 出来でき(dekiru)”? Which has the meaning of “CAN”? After reading this, you would be answering this question. Let me introduce what their subtle differences are and how you correctly use them such as native speakers today!

る (deru)

Go out, Leave / 离开 / 나오다 / đi ra khỏi

Basically “る” means “Go out or leave” and which has been used as the meaning of “to leave a room or building to do something”. The basic way to use it “わたしは___を/からる。”, etc. For instance, “わたし部屋へやからる(I go out from the room.)”. The tips for using it is that when using “る”, you “Go out or Leave” from somewhere. Native speakers sometimes omit “を” of e.g “いえを出る” in talking to their friends, so that would be “家いえる”.

出来できる (dekiru)

Can, Be able to / 能做 / 할 수 있다 / có thể

出来できる” means “Can or Be able to” and which has been used as the meaning of “someone is good at what he/she does”. The basic way to use it “わたしは___出来できる”, etc. For instance, “わたし約束やくそく出来できる(I can promise.)”. The tips for using it is that although, “出来できる” means “Can / Be able to”, it would be changed by verbs such as “ける(I can go.)”, “はなせる(I can speak.)”, “出来できる(I can do.)”, “およげる(I can swim)”, etc. So, although,”る” and “出来できる” might have been pretty similar for you, first of all, they are really different.
