The Complete Guide To Use それぞれ, 各 and 各々 Easily
それぞれ (sorezore), 各 (kaku) and 各々(onoono) make you complicated, isn’t it? There are subtle differences. By figuring these out, you will be able to hear these words. Let me introduce how you easily figure these out today!
それぞれ (sorezore), 各 (kaku) and 各々 (onoono)
Each
“それぞれ (sorezore), 各 (kaku) and 各々(onoono)” mean “Each”. Although それぞれ and 各 have been used for people and things, 各々 has been used for only people which means 各々 is Each PERSON. That is not 各々の人. So “各々” includes “PERSON(人)” whereas “それぞれ and 各” don’t include it. “それぞれの人” and “各々” are the same meaning. “各々” sounds a little bit formal than それぞれの人” though. The way to use them that “それぞれの人が違う顔です。(Each person’s face is different.)” and “各々が違う顔です。(Each person’s face is different.)”. Again それぞれ is more casual than 各々. Further, the difference between それぞれ and 各 is that それぞれ can be used as a noun, however, 各 can’t be used as a noun, so after using 各, you have to put nouns such as 各100円(Each 100 yen), 各県(each prefecture), 各地(each place), etc.
